We work to the trades' programme
Make Way is a rubbish removal crew for Davidson and the suburbs around it. Most of what we do is built around renovations: rooms cleared before the trades arrive, the old fittings taken as they come out, and the leftovers gone after handover.
Why the flag
The square flag in our logo is the kind you tie to a load that sticks out past the back of a trailer, so the traffic behind gives it room. That's the job, more or less. We make way: we get the old out so the new can come in, and we time it so nobody waits for us.
A renovation runs to a programme. The tiler follows the plumber, the installer has a date, and every trade is paid while they stand around. So we don't turn up when it suits us. We turn up when it suits the programme.

We look and agree the price
One fixed price for the load, before anything is lifted. No hourly rate, no tip fees on top.
We load, sweep and go
We carry it out, sweep where it stood, and take it away the same visit.
We come back for the next load
On a renovation, we book the next load around the next stage of the work.
What we take, and where it goes
We take
- Furniture, beds, lounges and rugs
- Whitegoods, TVs and electronics
- Kitchens, bathrooms, carpet and deck boards once they're out
- Garage and shed contents
- Green waste and prunings
Where it goes
To licensed waste and recycling facilities. Metal, whitegoods, e-waste and clean green waste are sorted for recycling where we can. Electronics go where e-waste is accepted.
We don't take
- Asbestos, or sheeting that hasn't been tested
- Liquid paint, chemicals and gas cylinders
- Medical and clinical waste
We'll tell you where those can go.
Where we work
Davidson first, then Frenchs Forest, Forestville and Belrose on the Northern Beaches side, and St Ives, St Ives Chase, East Killara and Killara across Garigal National Park. Short streets, sloping blocks and under-house garages are the normal job here, not the hard one.
If a renovation will disturb old sheeting, we'll ask whether it's been tested. It isn't us being difficult: it's the safest order to do things in. Why
Tell us about the job
A few lines is plenty. We ring you back, come and look at it, and agree one fixed price before anything is lifted.
No hourly rate, no tip fees on top. The price covers loading, sweeping up and taking it to a licensed facility. If the job changes on the day, we agree the change before we carry on.
